2. Paintings, Space and Movement
We will be using paintings to explore the potential of eurhythmics, solfege and improvisation. This workshop will introduce the possibilities of movement and form by participants becoming “paintings” or by using different objects. The aim of this workshop is to provide ideas for improvised movement, stage performances (recitals) or teaching children.

6. Teaching and Supporting Children with Developmental Disabilities in Eurhythmics Class
Our aim is to formulate the effective method to teach and support children with developmental disabilities in a eurhythmics class, taking into consideration the particular characteristics of each child. This will be explored through body movements to identify ways of enhancing the abilities of each child, while paying attention to the children’s signals which tend to be overlooked in our everyday lives.

8. Teaching Piano Using the Dalcroze Method
Integrating the core elements of the Dalcroze Method into piano lessons has been the focus of Seung-Ji Ryu’s teaching and research for the past fifteen years. This workshop will demonstrate how her lesson models increase the musicality of piano students through the incorporation of eurhythmic movement, ear training and solfege, and improvisation.

10. Eurhythmics & Blues
Explore the rhythms of jazz, blues, r&b, and other popular musics rooted in African-American expressive culture.
